Swift Launches Anti-Terrorism Program
METHUEN, MASSACHUSETTS
(WWLP; March 27, 2002) – Smaller communities in Massachusetts might not be targets for terror, but they could be host communities for terrorists. That was one concern expressed at an anti-terror workshop in Methuen this week. Acting Governor Jane Swift helped launch the SATURN program, which stands for the statewide anti-terrorism unified response network. The program is meant to ease communication between local state and federal public safety agencies. The state has set up a terrorism tip line for anyone to report suspicious activity. The terrorism tip line phone number is 1-888-USA-5458.
